    I had no idea it was bad to put links in pin descriptions! Thankfully I’ve never done that, so it’s not an issue for me, bit I’m glad to have learned this all the same!

    The most common is the one when people do not pay attention if there pins are mobile friendly. Most people are using Pinterest on mobile device so this is something very important. All other tips are on point. Great article.

    Excellent tips! Links in the description is counted as spam was sth completely new to me. I believe you have covered almost all the critical mistakes one can make, I would like to add just one that most of us forget due to lack of time — not focusing enough on keywords. As you said Pinterest is more of a search engine keywords are extremely important. When you create a new pin, you should not only focus on the keywords in the description but also the board you’re pinning to (for that first time). Therefore, one should have a keyword optimised board description and pin to the most -relevant board only.
