How safe are you against Cyber-goons?

How safe are you against Cyber-goons?

Like most paranoid individuals, I often think about cyber-attacks. Will I ever become a victim or what will I do in such circumstances.

Quite often, I find myself having a very engaging conversation with my colleagues or frequent acquaintances.

Being a privacy advocate myself, I find it almost humorous that people actually think they’re somehow immune to online malicious attacks.

What’s even more insane is the fact that pretty much every individual I talk to about this topic, 90% of them have this weird notion that only giant corporations have a probability of actually being a victim of ransomware or breach of privacy attacks.

However, anyone who believes this delusional notion is living in a fool paradise.

Allow me to explain why:

According to a well-known Cyber-security firm Symantec, Cyber goons have targeted more small businesses and lone individuals than ever before during the last four years.

Shockingly, almost all of these heinous crimes were against small businesses with less than 250 employees.

Although these statistics are admittingly shocking, I must say I’m not surprised. After all, small retail shops, hotels, schools and doctor’s offices are the perfect target for low life cyber scums.

My point is, if you have even the slightest footprint online, you are more than likely to become the next victim.

I’m sorry but that’s just facts.

What does this mean for an average Joe?

Online privacy

Think of it this way, if Giant Corporations aren’t even spared from the wrath of ruthless Cyber goons, what makes you think you’ll be OK.

Ebay, Google and even Microsoft have had their fair share of invasions over the years. Costing these companies millions of dollars and countless man hours to identify and patch vulnerabilities.

You and I are just a tiny cog in the system. If we don’t take our privacy seriously, we might as well pack up our bags and go hide on some deserted island.

Now don’t get me wrong, you can and should connect to internet, just not without any sort of privacy mechanisms in place.

Down below I’ll explain some of the way you can make your online presence totally secure and anonymous.

Tips & Tools to Secure your Online Privacy

Online Privacy

By now you must be wondering, there’s no safe way of being online. On the contrary, there are numerous tools and techniques you can opt to make a huge difference in the way you interact online.

For instance, a simple inclusion of a dedicated IP VPN can make you and your activity virtually untraceable.

Besides that, powerful antivirus software’s like Norton or McAfee can help you avoid any potential ransomware or malicious spying codes on the forefront.

Because let’s face it, if a hacker can penetrate through even a single layer of your system, they can very likely overpower you entire system too.

Long story short, you are the master of your own fate. Only you can secure yourself from cold-hearted cyber goons.

My Two Cents!

Privacy is something you shouldn’t take lightly.

Just like you wouldn’t want someone peeping through your window or stealing from your wallet, you wouldn’t want someone invading your online space.

After all, we pretty much go online to evade our problems rather than getting into one.

My advice…?
