My Post-Pandemic Travel Bucket-List

Travel Bucket list

It’s been 2 years that I’ve traveled. The last trip that I took was in December 2019 to some amazing places in Thailand– just before the pandemic took the hold of the entire world. Now that things are getting better and I am fully vaccinated, I have started planning for my next trip.

Here is My Post-Pandemic Travel Bucket-List

Los Angeles

A city where the sun shines throughout the year, loaded with vibrant nightlife, soft beaches and hikes and endless incredible things to explore. Not to forget ever seeing Hollywood and the rip-roaring fun of Universal Studio and other theme parks. There are several more click-worthy places that are often seen on TV and in movies. I recently binge-watched “Lucifer” on Netflix, which made me more fascinated to watch this beautiful city.

San Diego

When in Los Angeles, how can miss out on the San Diego Tourist Attractions California stays in the heart of tourists, the vibe here is a lot mesmerizing. And one such oldest town from this place, located in Southern California is San Diego. The natural beauty here and the mild Mediterranean climate is all that an individual would need to let go of his stress.

The Spanish-colonial architecture is what I’m really fond of, but what makes me admire more about this town is the world-famous San Diego Zoo. Well, who would even miss out on this when in San Diego?

Moreover, San Diego State is all about beaches, from sunning, swimming, to surfing, so the place is on my travel bucket list for quite so long!

Travel bucket list

Santorini – Greece

Volcanic Islands have always been on my checklist for quite a long period because of the climate there. Santorini is one such windswept Island located in The Cyclades. The blue dome churches here and the myriad of colorful beaches make this place heaven to be in.

On my checklist at Santaroni is watching the sunset in OIA. The whitewashed buildings here and the breezy climate is the perfect setting to watch the sun go down.

The next place I would most likely be visiting here is the boat tour of the volcano while exploring the colorful city of Thirassia. The red and white sand beaches here are quite rare to see elsewhere, so all of these would be my spot-on destinations!

Rome – Italy

When in Rome, you just roam – and many people have had told me this for years now. So, I would make the most out of my trip by roaming the streets of  Saint Peter’s Square, which is the most famous square in Rome. The next place on my checklist is the Castel Sant’Angelo, a fortress and castle by the popes.

The nightlife in Rome is something that has been popular for years now. The illuminated squares and monuments are no less like a dream to watch.

Yet another popular destination to be while in Rome is the Trevi foundation and the mystery here of “luck coins”. So, undoubtedly I’ll be throwing a few coins here to check what wonders it really does.

Last but not the least, The Colosseum is at the top of go-to destinations in Rome, because of the stories I have heard from this place about gladiators and wild beasts!

Istanbul

Traditional Turkish breakfast and cakes are something on my food-bingeing checklist for a while now, and no other place than Istanbul would be a perfect fit for this. So my itinerary in Istanbul would start with an awesome breakfast at Hafiz Mustafa, A Famous Turkish Patisserie.

The next thing I would really love to watch at least for once is The Historic Heart Of Sultanahmet, also known as Hippodrome. Turkish and Islamic art has been captivating the eyes of viewers for era’s now, and undoubtedly The Blue Mosque is what I have been waiting to see for a long.

Last but not the least, a quick visit to The Grand Bazaar, one of the largest covered markets in the world to check out some of the traditional rugs and homeware (because I am just so fond of them, and the aesthetics that comes along).

Wrapping Up on My Post-Pandemic Travel Bucket-List

This is not the end of the list. Every time, I visit a place, more places get added to my list. Traveling is a life-long journey. Whether you travel solo or choose to go on a family vacation, it soothes your soul lets you release the stress, and gives you an opportunity to grow.

It is sad that travel, among other things, has been put on hold. We have had 2 Caribbean trips canceled. We hadn’t traveled since October 2019 until this past November. But it was a short domestic trip. We have another trip planned in April but again staying domestic. We miss traveling too. I hope you get to your list soon!

To feel comfortable traveling again! This list was great and created a longing. Maybe I need to pull together my own bucket list for when we finally get back to some semblance of normal.

Istanbul is one of the coolest places I’ve ever been! I was there in 2012. While you’re at the Blue Mosque, don’t skip the Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern–they were unforgettable. I hope you enjoy visiting all of the places on your list!!
